Playgroup was formally known as baby class. It accommodates children in the age of 3-4 years old who are taught creative arts, number work, language, reading, and cleanliness every day.
The purpose of the playgroup is to create a foundation for the kids as they prepare to join their next level of school grade which is PP1.
The playground is important because it helps the kids to learn how to communicate, hold a pencil, they are taught how to write and read.
However, some of the challenges the class teacher faces with the kids in her class are absenteeism. Most parents do not give a valid reason as to why they allow their kids to miss classes, and this leads to some of the kids dragging behind in the curriculum that the school gives.
But the teachers are finding ways to be able to reduce the number of students being late and absent from school.
As a school, we would like to urge the parents to allow their kids to be able to attend classes so that they may not drag behind in the class curriculum prepared for them.
