How HoL Alumni Faired in the 2021 National Examinations

Emily Ahono after leaving Hands of Love she joined Marura Primary School a public school in Kariobangi. She scored 330 points in 2021 national examinations

Academic achievement for underprivileged children living in Kariobangi is significantly impacted by the lack of access to quality early childhood education. As a result, they face challenges with cognitive and literary abilities. In addition, they often begin school when they are academically behind their peers from higher-income backgrounds.

Hands of Love was founded 15 years ago to address this disparity. Over the years, we have provided high-quality early childhood education and food and basic healthcare to children aged 4 – 8 years. By providing a solid foundation, we set up children who graduate from our school for success in their primary education.

The 2021 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination results show our work’s impact on education outcomes for HoL alumni. The performance of 21 alumni who sat for the exam was outstanding. The mean score for the group was 322 points out of a possible 500. The highest performance was 406 points, and the lowest was 271.
